I always felt like Maurice was the kind of man who I wish I had had as a father when I was growing up - supportive, understanding, interesting and engaged with the world. He nurtured and loved his family and community with all his heart, and I will truly miss him.

You welcomed me into your family with open arms. Treated me like one of your own. That's just the type of guy you were. Always there for the people you knew and kind to the friends you were yet to make. You will live on though your awesome children who along with June will be surrounded by all the love and support from their friends and family.
