My husband Roy told me of a time both he and his dad played rugby together in Peterborough, Ontario Canada. Roy spoke about it with passion to me, describing every move and moment. My husband told me that after the game the team went to the pub for a few pints and a sing along. Liam Nagle, Roy’s friend at the time asked John why he dived to tackle someone when he was twenty yards away from him. John told the Liam “well, my mind told me to narrow the angle, but my body heck no; I’m not running over there”
I could tell by the way my husband Roy talked about it, that even today it means a lot to him. To have played the game of Rugby together. A special moment for my husband. That he will remember forever. We will both see you again John

My Dad
Dads are someone to look up to, someone to follow, someone to admire, someone to be proud of and someone to brag about, someone to learn from and someone to respect, someone to try to impress and sometimes rebel against. I am so incredibly grateful and happy that I have had all this and much more with my Dad.
To say I loved my Dad would be an understatement and to say I am going to miss him would be an even greater understatement.
I cannot begin to imagine not having Dad on the end of a phone when I call from Utah. Dad was always there for me and everyone else in the family.
Dad was always hard working and compassionate towards Julie, Lynda and myself. He taught us many things, but I think most importantly he gave the three of us the ability to know that if you really put our minds to something, anything is possible, and never to be afraid to give anything a go.
Nobody can be perfect, but Dad was close to being the perfect Dad anyone could have.
Mum’s strength over the past few years, having to watch dad’s health fall has been amazing. I know I would have struggled, if I had to watch Collette’s health fall as mum did. I hope that through this, I can find strength from her example and be there for her whenever she needs me.
There are no words to express Dad’s influence in my life.
Mormons believe that after death we move to the afterlife were we become gods and goddesses and will have "all power, glory, dominion and knowledge” Mormons teach that exalted people will live with their earthly families and their posterity will grow forever.
I will see you again Dad. Roy
