Harold FrederickCLARKE ("Fred")"Fred" Harold Frederick Clarke, affectionately known as "Fred" passed away at 5.25am on Tuesday 25th May at Coxbench Hall Care Home aged 93. Beloved husband of the late Mavis Amy, he was a caring, kind, and considerate father to Heather and Ian who were at his side. Formerly of Derwent Avenue, Allestree, he was a special and treasured Grandad to Henry, Jack, George, Felicity, Harvey, Izaak and Gabriel as well as a great Grandad and much-loved father-in-law to Michael and Debra. A very proud, placid, and content man he loved life and was grateful for everything he had. He was always full of fun, laughter, and stories. Admired and loved by all who knew him, he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. Rest in peace Fred, we were privileged to know you, to share your life and to have been loved by you. Fred's funeral service will be held at Markeaton Crematorium at 2pm on the 10th of June 2021. Attendance to the service will be by invitation only due to Covid restrictions, however, the family will welcome anyone who would like to pay their respects from outside the crematorium, or as the funeral cortege drives past his former home in Allestree 1:40pm (approx.) and the parish church of St Edmunds, Allestree. The funeral service will be accessible by webcast for anyone wishing to attend virtually, and a link will be sent upon request. Family flowers only but donations will be gratefully received for Treetop's Hospice and can be made online at funeral-notices.co.uk or via Thomas Ryde and Son's Funeral Directors, Belper.
