It seems crazy to think that it's a year ago since dad died. I don't reckon he would have been too impressed with the year just passed anyway-face masks, social distancing and no SUFC games to watch! I still think that the phone will ring on Sunday evenings and we will talk football and update him on the family. We are all doing fine but miss your steady and constant presence in the background. Lots of love, Ian, Joana, Ben and Maxi x

Wishing I could have been there to pay my sincere regrets to a very good man and great Dad....as a youngster, I was always welcomed in Mr and Mrs Clayton's, home of my best friend Steve and we were always kept on the "right" track by them both. In later years, I very much enjoyed and appreciated the times with Steve and Mick at Scunny games, especially sharing a few beers and words of wisdom and laughs of times back at Bollibroke Rd and Riddings Junior with Ray....his ready smile, good humour and sparkle in his eyes will stay with me always! Yesterday's funeral was a fitting send off for dad. He would have loved to see so many people there and the great things that were said about him. My brother and I were very grateful to all who attended or for those that couldn't, sent messages of support and condolences. He will be hugely missed by us all. We are still in shock that he has actually gone.
