George DavidDAVIESEdward Passed away peacefully at Glamorgan Holiday Home Porthcawl, on Thursday Oct 13 whilst taking a break, aged 86 years; Dad to Jennet, Sally and Stephen, father-in-law to David and Jacky, grandfather to Huw, Owen, Bethan, Bridie and the late Jamie and great-Grandad to Joshua, Stephanie, Matthew, Jack and Nancy. George worked for the later part of his life at British Steel and Merrett's Bakery and enjoyed regularly attending the Holme Tower Day Care Centre for the past two years. Resting at James Summers & Son, Roath Court, Newport Rd, Cardiff, until the funeral service at St Mellons Church on Thursday Oct 27 at 10.15am followed by cremation at Thornhill Crematorium, Briwnant Chapel at 11.15am. Family flowers only please, but donations in lieu to Marie Curie Cancer Care may be sent c/o the funeral home.
