JohnDOBSONPassed away at home after a 3 year battle with cancer on 26th October, 2019, aged 76 years. Loving husband of Edna, dear dad of Simon and Samantha, father-in-law to Helen and a much loved grandad and great-grandad. Funeral service to be held at Lytham Crematorium, Regent Avenue on Monday 11th November at 12 noon. Donations in lieu of flowers to Cancer Research UK. 21st March 2024. Hi sweetheart, 31 years today since we lost Mam. Can you remember I had just had that operation on my mouth a couple of days before. I miss you every day and sometime the days seem so long. Was out in the garden the last four days but it has rained most of today so need to wait for better weather again. Love you my sweet. 11th March 2024. Happy Heavenly Birthday my darling. I miss you so much. There is nothing I would like better than to bring you a coffee in bed and open your cards. Then make you a super breakfast. I had a lovely holiday in Florida (our favourite place) I wasn't able to go everywhere with them but I still enjoyed it. Archie loved the swimming pool, but he said he missed all his school friends. Samantha enjoyed her holiday in Egypt but said there were scary moments at times. Don't think it is a place we would ever have fancied going. Going out tomorrow with Simon to celebrate your birthday love. Helen is working tonight so that is why we have postponed it. Love you always. All my love darling. Your loving wife xxx E xxx

21st February 2024. Hi love, only three sleeps before we take Archie to Florida. Really hope he behaves and enjoys it all. Wendy called round this morning to witness some papers Simon & Helen were signing. Plus myself. She stayed a couple of hours and we chatted quite a lot. I really enjoy taking to both Jack & Wendy. A proper conversation. They are such good neighbours and have both looked after me since you left. Samantha is in Egypt at the moment, she seems to be enjoying herself. They look to be back packing. Dont fancy it myself though, we always liked to know where we were going. But as long as it suits her that is what matters love.
