David ByronEVANSThe family wish to thank all those who attended the Service of Thanksgiving to make it such a special occasion and all those who sent the many kind and comforting letters, cards and flowers. Special thanks to Revd Geoffrey S Clarke of The United Reformed Church, Worksop and to the Revd Mark Cantrill, Anglican vicar of the Clays group, for organising the service, for officiating at the church and later at the Woodland Cemetery burial service. The care and professional support offered throughout by E. Hurton & Son was much appreciated by the family, as were the lovely floral tributes from 'More than Flowers' and the enjoyable buffet by Sue Boyes. To those who contributed so generously towards the £450 collected for Cancer Research UK in Byron's memory, a special thank you!

The passing of the years has not diminished my sense of loss and continued sadness that we are no longer together. I am grateful for all that we shared and mindful, more than ever, of how fortunate I was to have met you in 1947.

I will be 90 years on the 28th of this month and you would have been 99 on June 9th. So... no complaints, except that life is not the same without you. You were everything to me.

My thoughts are always with you! This year has brought with it much suffering and loss for so many individuals. For that reason I give thanks for the 70 wonderful years we shared and also, that you have not had to experience these hard times. Our time together still sustains me.
