Ed and I first met when I was at school, he was my woodwork and Motor Engineering teacher. I then worked alongside him for RAC for over 25yrs. He was a great guy, always willing to help or offer guidance. I am proud to call him my best friend.
I will miss our daily chats on all things music, cars and RAC.
May your rest in peace my dear friend.

From Chinyere Ugwu: What a loss. I’ve known Ed at St Anselms for so many years. He was a wonderful, caring and a great servant of God. Thank you for your service at St Anselms. It took me some years to realise your were not Steffan’s brother but his dad! You were very welcoming, positive and down to earth. Rest in peace Ed. I pray for Liz, Steffan, Tom and the rest of your family for God’s comfort. Chinyere 🙏🏿

Hi - my heart goes out to Ed’s family. He literally Rocked my world growing up. Larger than life, generous to a fault and kind. He was funny and always saw the best in me. Encouraging, reliable and always there with a rye smile and a wink.

Remembering a lovely woodwork teacher at Claremont High. Now woodwork was never going to be my strength, and this was a subject I thought I'd really hate, especially on a Friday afternoon. The joy and laughs Ed brought into the workshop turned me around. He always treated us (11/12 at the time) as people and not kids, and had such a love for everything he did. It has really moved me to read all of these wonderful tributes from those that knew and loved him over the years, and I send my deepest condolences to Ed's family and community.

My deepest condolences, Ed was such a lovely man I have know him at least 15 years and we always shared a joke or a smile in the corridors of Bescot.
He will be sadly missed by all. Rest in Peace Ed.
