Ian 'Foz'FORRESTERIan, affectionately known as 'Foz' to friends, passed away peacefully at home in Grimsby on April 16 surrounded by his loving family - after a long illness bravely fought with courage and dignity. Ian, 61, was a devoted husband of 37 years to Allison, and the world's best father to children Katy and Tom. He was the much-loved son of the late Stan and Beryl Forrester and son-in-law of the late Sonny and Marlene O'Nions. Ian was the cherished brother of Andrew and Lynne and brother-in-law to Terry and Sarah, Martin and Diana. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, including nieces Poppy, Hetty, and Sarah, along with nephew Billy. Ian left an indelible mark on many and will be remembered as a dedicated family man with a wicked sense of humour. He was a lifelong Leeds United supporter, a lover of golf, Guinness, motorcycling, and Northern Soul music. Ian worked as a sales rep for more than 20 years and most recently held roles within North East Lincolnshire Council. A private service to celebrate Ian's life will take place at Old Clee Church in Grimsby on Friday 30th April 2021 at 10.15 am, followed by burial in Cleethorpes Cemetery. Due to Covid this is restricted to close family and friends only. Flowers may be sent to Mashfords Funeral Service, Norfolk Lane, Cleethorpes DN35 8BB. All enquiries, Tel: 01472 200004.
