JimGAFFNEYOn October 31, after a tragic accident, Jim aged 78 years of Hutton Rudby. Dearly loved husband of Joyce, loving dad of Julie, Susan, and Andrew, dear father-inlaw of Nicola, dearest grandpa of Richard, Simon, Nicholas, Bradley, Thomas, Freddie, and Toby and great-grandpa of Harvey. Also beloved brother of Anne and will be sadly missed by Emma and Ella. Funeral service to take place at St Peter’s R C Church, South Bank on Wednesday 13 November at 1.30pm followed by cremation. Family flowers only, donations if wished may be given for the Great North Air Ambulance.

Mr and Mrs Gaffney changed my li. I worked for them when I was 16/17 and because of them went on to have a long career in the RAF and the Police. I think of them often

Mr and Mrs Gaffney changed my life. I had my first job with them at 16. I left under a cloud but with there help and Peter who worked with them I turned it around having a career in the RAF and the Police. Thank you I think of you often
