I'm devastated to hear of Mrs Grants passing. She was a huge influence and helped me realise that a career in Classics was what I wanted. She was definitely loved by all of her students and had the patience of a saint! She will always have a place in my heart and my thoughts are with her family. She will definitely be missed

In memory of one of the most patient and kind teachers that I have ever had the privilege to have been taught by. She made sure you felt valued as an individual and you were always safe in her classroom. Many happy memories. I will be there in spirit on Tuesday.

One of my favourite teachers back in the 90s. She was very friendly, patient, and encouraging. I went on her very popular Hadrian’s Wall trip every year. I remember her fondly. Best wishes to her family and friends xx

Very sad to read this. Ann was one of the most inspirational teachers I have ever encountered. She backed me, encouraged me and gave me the confidence to believe in myself to become the strong, well-educated working mum I am today. She trusted me to babysit Ewan when he was very small too. A wonderful woman always with a smile. My thoughts are with all of Ann’s family and friends. RIP. Caroline Colliston (nee Watt)
