Edgar ArthurGREAVESPeacefully in his sleep on January 9th Eddie aged 86 years. Beloved husband of the late Josie, much loved father of James and Tim, loving grandad of Alice, Abbie and Lucy. A treasured uncle of Sue and Jonathan. A life well lived, will be missed by all. Funeral Service in Kirkleatham Crematorium on Friday January 25th at 2:00pm. Friends please meet at Crematorium Chapel. Family flowers only, donations in lieu if so desired to Stroke Association at chapel please. All Enquiries to Stanway & Garnett Funeral Service, 114 High Street, Redcar. Tel. 01642 477257.

I have fond memories of ‘Eddie’. He gave me my first job when I left school, building houses in Hemlington and the enterprise centre, and he really looked after his workers. He also picked me up a few times to take me to band practice for the Anglo American Ambassadors Marching Swing Band. He was a very kind, caring, and generous man. RIP Mr Greaves.
