Doris LuisaGROOM ('La')'La' Sadly passed away on Wednesday the 16th Of September 2020 at 10:41 pm. 7th October 1928 - 16th September 2020 Wife of Donald W Groom (dec'd) Mother of Ann & Teresa, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Great-great-grandmother and friend. She is sadly missed. Blitz Evacuee, Bletchley Park Messenger WW2, Warden & Carer, Gamston School Caretaker, and so very much more. The family, naturally heartbroken, wish to thank all those whose kind words and cards, offering condolences are most appreciated. Our loss is shared. "For I sit and gaze upon only memories, my loss a comfort for others I exist. There shall, upon my final breath, be those final memories in tears of joy. For my loss of you, now endeth." you were an amazing ladie and gran to all the family and you loved my husband as a grandson you were always ready to have a chat about what we were up to in our lifes and always had time for everyone and i remember when you and grandad to me scotland for a holiday and i enjoyed all the bitrhday texts you were also a great gran to me and my sister emma eliott ,

La what can I say , in our hour of need you took us in showing us what family really means , memories I have so many from fetes to Yorkshire shows or even just a simple dog walk oh and of course being proud that my grandma was the lollipop lady as a young boy it was magical.

Your voice and memory are echoed through my mind for the rest of my life , I will remember the things we did ,you taught me so much and never failed to be there for me even when we didn’t see eye to eye we were always heart-to-heart
