Loving husband of Annie, devoted father of Ben, Megan and Laura, treasured son of Mai and the late Dewi, stepson to Phil; son-in-law of Margaret, cherished brother of Dafydd, Sioned and Siôn, and brother-in-law of Dawn, Dewi and Nia. Also a fond uncle to his nephews and nieces and a true and loyal friend to many. Funeral on Saturday, 22 January, 2022. Public service at Bangor Crematorium at 11.30 a.m. The service may be viewed via watch.obitus.com/ username: jipe8145 password: 085698. Iwan was a family man, in every way possible. Firstly, he was always so proud of where he came from: his family, his roots and every experience that cumulatively made him the stellar man we knew and love. Secondly, he was a devoted husband and father who built a world for Annie, Megan and Laura far away from his home country, where he wrapped them in love, fun and care, and where he spoke of Ben often. Thirdly, he drew people into his family by offering the kind of friendship that could last a lifetime with a depth of loyalty that is so rare. I have been privileged to know Iwan’s great humour, generous nature, thoughtfulness, honesty and unwavering loyalty. He was truly like a big brother to me and it was an honour to have been his friend. I miss him more than words can say.
