A remarkable gentleman who displayed extraordinary knowledge, wisdom, kindness, generosity and most recently courage in adversity. We are so fortunate that on life's journey our paths crossed with his. He is greatly missed.

So sad to hear of Brian’s passing. He was a dear friend with a fountain of knowledge and a wicked sense of humour. I will miss him greatly.

I was so sorry to hear this news. Brian was a fierce champion of local history and heritage, museums and the performing arts. His knowledge and enthusiasm will be sadly missed. He has been a valued colleague and friend over many years. RIP.
