Ian James WilfredHAMILTONIt is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ian, who died unexpectedly at the age of 46 on Friday 13th September 2024.

He was a beloved son to Joan, a cherished brother to Claire, Suzanne, and Wendy, a devoted uncle to Owen, Lucy, and Alex, and a caring brother-in-law to Pete and Paul.
Ian was known for his immense kindness, dry sense of humour, and steady darts hand. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday 10th October at 11:15am at St. Vincent de Paul RC Church, Caldershaw Road, Norden, Rochdale, OL12 7QL. From there Ian will be taken to Rochdale Crematorium for a committal to be attended by family members.
Following the funeral everyone is welcome to gather at the Talbot Head pub, 22 Shawclough Road, Rochdale, OL12 6LG, to share memories and celebrate Ian’s life.
Guests are invited to wear something blue on the day in honour of Ian and his life-long devotion to Manchester City.

Family flowers only please. Donations can be made in Ian’s memory to charities and causes he cared about: The Christie, British Heart Foundation and Manchester Children’s Hospital.

Rest in peace Ian, you were a true gentleman. Your memory will remain forever in our hearts.

Ian was a valued member of our bowling team at Whitworth Football and Cricket. Will be sorely missed for his humour and getting us out of trouble with his left handed playing.
RIP IAN. 💙
