Barbara JayneHARTSHORNPassed away suddenly on Saturday 24th April 2021, aged 72 years. Beloved wife of the late Derek, deeply loved mother of David and Janet, grandmother of Kelly, Steven, Hannah, Tom and Katie and great grandmother to Mia, Molly and Evie. Funeral service to be held at Trent Valley Crematorium on Monday 24th May 2021 at 12:30pm. Donations are invited for Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance. Jack and I first met you in 1965 at the County Show when David was a baby in his pram.

Many happy memories of times spent together and with your Mum and Dad and at the Harrington Arms and our homes at Christmas times, especially with the turkeys.

You will never be forgotten, Barbara.

Nan, although I didn’t see you often you always put a smile on my face every time we spoke, even over FaceTime. Thank you for all of the wonderful holidays you took us on as kids. Thank you for being proud of me when I got my first job and thank you for being a wonderful Nan, miss you always.

Thank you Barbara 🌸 thank you for the holiday memories, the Christmas water fight game with Tom, for getting Katie to sleep when I couldn’t, for all the knitting of cardigans and blankets when they were born (which I still have) and for inviting me into your family and marrying your son.
Thank you for being my google, because if I needed to know something, it was you who either researched or just knew. It’s time for you to keep Derek in check again 🥰
