George BarryJOHNSONIt is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of George Barry Johnson, affectionately known as Barry, who passed away peacefully on Monday, 12th May, following a lengthy, bravely fought battle with MND. with his loving family by his side at Ash Hall Nursing Home.
Barry was the beloved husband to the late Marj, a dear brother to Dee and the late Nellie and Beryl. He was a devoted father to Lynn, Bev, and Karl, and a cherished father-in-law to Keith.
Barry was also a proud Grandad and Great Grandad to Matt, Amelia, Michael, Lucy, Adam, Ashley, Scarlett, Summer, Astrid, Reggie and Lenny.
Barry's warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for his family and friends will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Barry's legacy of compassion and generosity will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
The funeral service will take place on Monday, 16th June 2025, at Holy Trinity Church, Meir, at 11:15 am, followed by an interment at Fenton Cemetery. Flowers are welcome, and donations can be made to the Motor Neurone Disease (M.N.D) Association, an organisation close to Barry's heart.
Barry's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Ash Hall Nursing Home for their exceptional care and support.
