It was with great sadness that I learned of Denise's death. We were at Teachers' Training College, together. I went to her wedding. I have great memories of fun times. My sympathies are with her family and friends. Everyone should have a Denise in their lives.

As former headteacher of Ysgol y Grango (1977 - 1989), I should like to pay tribute to Denise as one of my most valued teachers during that time. I have many fond memories of her as a thoroughly professional, most caring and supportive team member; she was one of the real gems of that challenging era as the school grew rapidly to it's full 11- 16 status. I should like to extend my sympathy to her family, former colleagues and many friends. Mi fydd Denise yn golled mawr i lawer iawn.

Denise, could always be relied upon to say the right things at the right time. She was sisterly to me in the Labour Party movement and gave warm advice. Such a charming and dynamic woman. I'm proud to have called her my friend.
