Brian EricKNOWLER (1932-2020)1932-2020 Brian passed away peacefully on 3rd August 2020 in the care of Castle Hill Hospital aged 87 years. Jenny, Jane and Jonathan were at his bedside holding his hands. Brian was a loving and much loved Husband, Father, Father-in-law, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and a good friend to many. A private family service will take place at Woodlands Crematorium Scunthorpe on Tuesday 18th August at 12-40pm. Family flowers only by request but if so desired donations can be sent to Prostate Cancer UK. All enquiries to, Coop Funeralcare, 2 Bottesford Road, Scunthorpe, DN16 3HE, 01724 843150.

A lovely picture of Brian which bring back fond memories of the times I spent with him underneath his willow tree feeding his fish. We have been neighbours for over 30 years and I will miss him. God bless Brian

Brian was a larger than life character and a great mentor. By his support and motivation he gave me the confidence to pursue a most fulfilling and exciting teaching career. For this I will always be eternally grateful.
Brian was a wonderful raconteur and Grant and I spent many enjoyable and laughter filled evenings with him and Jenny.
He will be sadly missed.

Brian was very influential on my early years in education and those influences lasted throughout my career. He was a larger than life character who always had the welfare of children at heart. I’ll miss him as a teacher, storyteller and friend.
