WilliamLESTER (Bill)Bill William Lester of Clifton, Nottingham, born October 22nd 1930 died December 17th 2020. Bill, born in the Meadows, was a long-time employee of Plessey in Beeston, a leading member of his local church and a life-long cricket fan. He was predeceased by his beloved Lillian who died after a long struggle with Parkinson's, also in December, 2015. Bill devoted much of his time to supporting Corpus Christi Church in Clifton, for which he has received many kind comments from the congregation in recent days. He also devoted a lot of his time to caring for elderly members of the family and finally to Lillian, during her long and debilitating illness. For this reason, those wishing to commemorate Bill's passing are requested to make a donation to Parkinson's Research through the link elsewhere on this site. The funeral will be held at Corpus Christi in Clifton on February 1st. Tony, Ann and Peter would like to thank the many, many people who have expressed their condolences, and shared their affectionate thoughts and memories of Bill with them. Bill was a genuine Good Samaritan, who lived his life through Christian values; always loving, always giving and always there for whoever needed help. Good starry, starry night and God bless.
