EvaMANNION (neé BATES)neé BATES Peacefully after a short illness so bravely and gracefully borne, it is with the deepest regret that Alan and the family announce the untimely passing of our wonderful sister, auntie and dearly loved friend to all, Eva, on Sunday 11th October 2020 at the London Road Community Hospital, Derby. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all at Ward 203 at the Royal Derby Hospital and especially to Dr Jess and all at Ward 2 at London Road Community Hospital for their care of Eva and support to the family. Also a big thank you to Helen Harrison a dear friend who supported Eva so lovingly throughout her illness; the family will be eternally grateful to you. Eva's Cremation will be held on Friday 30th October at Markeaton Crematorium. A Thanksgiving Service will be held at St Giles Church, Hartington once Covid restrictions allow. No flowers by request please, but, if desired, donations in lieu for the "Hartington C of E School Fund" where Eva enjoyed her regular lunch invitations and the children's company so much, may be sent to A. W. Lymn, Barton House, 31 Chapel Side, Spondon, DE21 7JQ, 01332 544 666 or handed to Liz Broomhead in Hartington who will kindly accept donations from the village.
