Anthony (BA, MBE, OBE, Freeman of Liverpool)MCGANN (Tony)Peacefully at home surrounded by all his loving family aged 85 years. Now reunited with his beloved wife Joan. Dearly loved Dad of Lisa, Anthony & Marie. Devoted Grandad of Jack, Luke, Anthony, Hollie, Remi, Logan & Great Grandson Luka. A loving brother, uncle & father in law. Tony will be resting at his home on Friday evening then laid to rest with his beloved wife Joan at Ford Cemetery on Sunday 14th August at 12 Noon. I’m truly heartbroken 💔 I’m so glad you knew how much I thought of you, you where my hero!
I have always admired you so much & when I wrote your poem all them years ago I meant every single word “Oh oh Tony Mcgann, oh what a wonderful man! He got of his a** when no-one else would and created our new neighbourhood. Eldonian village that is our name, community spirit was always your aim! …”
You achieved all that!
