JohnMCALEESEThe exceptional and self-made John McAleese, departed us on 30th July. Doing it his way with immense bravery, dignity and humour to the very end of his seventy-seven years. John was an outstanding character with a bewildering array of talents and unsurpassed depth of knowledge. Sons John and Scott, cherished grandchildren Freya and Murray, and adored daughter Michelle, have taken great comfort from the many tributes paid to him and the fact their father is reunited with Isa his wife of 53 years. 9th August would have celebrated one of their greatest achievements together - 50 years of trading independently with a successful motoring business. Form is temporary. Class is permanent.
For those wishing to pay their last respects to John you can do so by the following -
The Funeral Cortege will leave John's home in Wilson Avenue, Troon at 11.15am on Tuesday 11th August 2020, passing John's garage on Dukes Road at approximately 11.25am following on to a family service at Masonhill Crematorium.

I was very sorry to hear of John's passing at such a young age. I enjoyed many interesting conversations with him on many subjects. He was a true motor engineer.
