So sad to hear of the passing of such a wonderful, gentle, caring man. He was my gran and mother and father's doctor and from the day I was born, my doctor too. We all felt as if we were going for a chat with a friend at the surgery, rather than a GP. Bernard was the only GP who could talk my gran around to taking tablets, or going to hospital - he had a brilliant bedside manner. He was truly loved by all his local patients with his patience and understanding he helped a lot of people.
Rest in Peace Christine Waterson

Family and Friends, at this sad time.
Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.
Dr. McStay was a dedicated GP to all his patients.
A gentle giant, full of compassion.
No matter what ails you had,
he had time for you.
He cared for generations of our Family,
for which we are eternally grateful.
Gone but not forgotten.
