Passed away peacefully at Nether Hall Care Home on Tuesday 16th September 2025, aged 86 years.

Devoted wife of the late Tony, beloved mum of Blane, Kayla, Cara and Donna. A treasured mother in law to Elaine, Tim, Scott and Ant, adored nanna to Jack, Owen, Kiah, Nate, Connie, Lincoln and the late Dominic and George, special great nanna of Jenson and Dylan.

A truly loved family member and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral service and celebration of Ethel's life will take place at Bretby Crematorium, Cedar Service Room on Tuesday 7th October 2025 at 11.15am.

Family flowers only please. Donations if desired are invited for SANDS and Papyrus UK, in memory of her beloved grandsons. These can be made online at www.georgesimnett.co.uk or may be given at the service.

The family would like to take this opportunity to extend their heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Nether Hall Care Home for their immeasurable care, support and love shown towards Ettie for the past 28 months.

I’m incredibly grateful to this lovely lady for bringing four amazing children into this world and for the joy and privilege of knowing them and their families. Although I had only met “Cara’s Mum” on a couple of occasions I know with all my heart that she must have been one very special lady. Sending heartfelt condolences to all of her beautiful family.
