CatherineO'GRADY ((Cath))O'GRADY Catherine (Cath) Passed away peacefully at Leicester Royal Infirmary on Sunday 13th September 2020, aged 87. The best mum, friend, neighbour and colleague anyone could have. Much missed by all who knew her in Clarendon Park, Unison, the WI, Labour Party, Mother's Union and at Glenfield Hospital. "A smile costs nothing, but gives so much." Funeral arrangements to follow. Sean x

I have written so many poems for Friends that have passed this year .
Fiona now Cath they were both so very dear .
Another very large void to have to bare.
No more meeting in town special moments to share.
Holidays in Brugge our special place
Mountains in Austria what a delightful base.
We even stayed in a castle near Paris France
Walking down the stairs in them dresses wow what a glance.
On a summers day in Victoria park
The birds were singing the fans were chanting in the dark.
Leicester City had won the premier league a dream come true.
There was Cath standing with her flag with me and you .
There are so memories all I want to do is sleep
But I have to wake up God has taken you away we couldn’t keep.
No more meeting in town that day has gone .
The pub in town where we were singing the song.
But whatever and how rough the weeks will be.
Not even God can take away the memories of you and me.
It will not be long until we meet once again
The bible declares the last days but we do not know when .
When our Heavenly Fathers plan comes to be
Everlasting life eternity.
You and Fiona will come knocking at my door .
In perfect health no more tears death or pain anymore .
A glorious future under Jesus Christ the King .
Injustice gone forever that will be the thing .
I cannot wait to see you both I will jump for joy
The lamb and the lion and the little boy.
In Gods new world together forever .

My Best Friend Cath what can I say..
No longer here with us I have shed many tears here today.
32 years of memories not even God can take them away.
Now on a glorious journey I know I shall see you very soon not sure of the day.
Brugge was our favourite place the church and the canal
Then we went off to the shop where Cath brought her channel.
Paris in the springtime Valkenburg in the fall.
We went everywhere together you one and all.
Cath loved her garden flowers everyday
Now with her beloved Tammy with love and pride helping on her way..
A scarlet sky somewhere very near
I wish I could climb the stairs and wash away my tear..
One summer day in Victoria park we watched the Boys come home
Blue and white scarves all the way we certainly were not alone.
Leicester City won the Premier league a dream come true .
There was Cath with her flag chanting I couldn’t believe it to
There is so much to say about my dearest Friend
I would need many hours the writing would never end
Now waiting the days to endure .
Our Heavenly Fathers plan When sorrow death pain will be no more.
The resurrection song with Jesus on His way
United forever together we know what the bible does say.
Miss you more than words can say weeks years everyday.
.
