I too served with John at Loughborough Fire Station.John was a committed and dedicated fireman who after a long career was still interested in his work. A pleasure to have known this gentleman.

I served in the Fire Brigade at Loughborough with John in the early 1960`s and again in the early 1970`s. He was the most pleasant and un-flappable person I ever had the privilege of working with. John Cope.
