We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of John Peak. Our children and their partners who were with us in 2014 when we visited Penzance remember John and Shirley as the ‘life of the party’ and full of joy. John was a lovely man and will be missed by all his friends and family. We remember how welcoming John and Shirley made us all feel when they invited us back for coffee and tea back at their place. From the moment we met John and Shirley in 2010, we knew that they were good people; proud members of the extended Peak family.

Two years ago, when we had lunch with John and Jessica, we both knew that he had made the supreme effort to walk to the 'Turks Head’ and spend time with us. This was who John Peak was. He was a proud man and, as a Bard of the Gorsedh Kernow, was a proud Cornishman to boot. Rest in peace John and we are both glad that he will be with his beloved Shirley now.

With all our love
