I have many good memories of visiting uncle john all through my childhood and as an adult. It was always brilliant fun hearing about his latest endeavour or enthusiasm. He was great to be around, looked after others and was loved by all the family

On behalf of my friends at Rosevale Mine , I send dear Esme our deepest sympathy and thoughts at her sad loss. We shall miss John's visits to the mine and his very warm friendship and enthusiasm extended to us. His presence will live on with us in the woderful film records he has made over the past years With much love from Michael Shipp and friends at the mine.
