Joan ElizabethREGANApril 01, 2021 Joan Elizabeth Regan (8.9.1926) passed away peacefully after a short illness. Joan would be the first to thank her home carers and all at the Royal Liverpool, Broadgreen Hospital, doctors' surgeries in Mather Avenue and the Village Centre, and finally at Kingswood Manor for taking good care of her. She will be missed by daughter Patricia, son Martin, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, friends and neighbours in Woolton, and relatives in Nottingham and Ireland. She will be remembered with a smile behind the tears by those who met her and who worked with her at Sefton General and the Royal. She made the most of life, though she demanded more of it. Drink! For you know not whence you came nor why. Drink! For you know not why you go nor when. (Omar Khayyam) With funerals limited to family, a proper get together will be arranged before too long. No flowers, please, Joan didn't like to watch them wither. Donations to Huntington's disease, Children's disability, or Cancer Research.

Joan was our neighbour for a relatively short period but we were quickly welcomed by her incredible wit and charm. We enjoyed regularly sharing a whiskey and hearing about her life. She was a wonderful friend and we’ll never meet another like her.

Our love goes out to her family and friends.
