ClaudeREIDof Burbage (formerly of Coventry) Sadly passed away on 22 December 2020 aged 79 years. Much loved husband of Shirl, loving dad of Chris and Mike, father in law of Jen and Liz and cherished grandad of Kim, Becky, Adam and Charlie. Claude was much loved by his close family and friends and will be very much missed. Shirley and family. It was my personal pleasure to have known Claude for many years through various links through committees , auditing the finances, assisting in the running of county matches etc,. Claud was a true gentleman and sportsman who contributed greatly to the bowling scene throughout the North Midlands I spent many happy hours in his company over the years and was saddened to learn of his passing .My condolences to you all at this sad time. Claude was a true gentleman and sportsman who contributed a tremendous amount in the advancement of the sport of Crown Green bowls I know that he will be greatly missed by the whole of the bowling world. Claude left a giant footprint on life's highway and it was my personal pleasure to have known him and spent time with him over many years. RIP Claude . Every one associated with Coventry & District Bowling League was saddened to hear of the sad loss of Claude.
As a life member of the League Claude was implicant in pushing and pursuing the game of Crown Green Bowls, his help support and encouragement on and off the green will have touched most people who knew him.
