Beverley JohnRICHARDS77 years old of Sandon, formerly of Hartshill. Soulmate of the late Christine, together again. Bev reluctantly left this life on 9th June 2021, he still had many pints to drink and stories to tell us. He was committed to being obstreperous to the end and he definitely did it his way. He will be greatly missed by his children Gareth, Jemma and Katie, grandchildren, Olivia, Tom, Amy, Al & Megan, as well as his brother Des and sister Vonnie, not to mention the countless friends he made wherever he went. Bev will be making his final journey on 5th July, 11:30am from St Michael's Church, Stone. Would all wishing to attend kindly meet and disperse at the church. Family flowers only please, donations preferred for North Staffs and South Cheshire Kidney Patient Association at www.thefuneraldirectors.co.uk/online-donations or care of the Funeral Directors. What a man Bev was. A spade was definitely a spade, which is what I liked most about him. He never ceased to amaze me with his knowledge about pretty much everything and how many times he used the phrase ‘save a cow, eat a vegetarian’. Certainly one of a kind leaving behind a beautiful family, Bev will be greatly missed but it’s comforting to know he’s been reunited with his wife Chris. Much love to both of them and all their family and friends xx

It would fill a book to list all the ways we will remember Bev - all of them with a huge smile. He and Christine were such a big presence in our younger lives. They were warm funny generous and loving people who we will keep in our hearts forever. 💜
