John and I joined (the then) GPO together back in 1970 - two boys from the "hill". Since then I've spent innumerable great times with him in so many ways. He was a great sportsman and was always a brilliant partner on our Thursday evening Curry Cup golf dates with Ian, Richie, Nige and myself. Most of all he was a wonderful family man, the centre of which was his first love Wendy. John was simply a Prince amongst men. RIP Johnboy.
