When you get older in life you can't help but look back on the fun times, and those spent with special people. Julia, Bob and the girls were some of the most special people in my life, and if I remember, Julia was my Godmother.
Family holidays, visits to Coventry, or special events were always a bit more special with the Robinsons turning up.
Julia could talk for England, but always about something interesting and not about herself.
Genuinely interested in you as a person, and impartial advice freely given.
If I remember correctly, Julia was also the first person in our family to gain a degree, which for a working Mum in the 1970's was something special.
My family lived in Devon, and when my Mum was very ill, Julia used to set up a phone link from her office so Mum could speak to her family without costing anything - and in those days long distance calls were very expensive. Zoom meetings in the 1970's!
I am sorry I can't get to the funeral, and I am sorry I will never see your happy face again in this world.
Thank you for all you did for me when I needed it most.
Rest in Peace.
With all my love
Steve Hoare xx
