I met Joyce in 2020 on the first day of my new job as a carer. She quickly became my favourite client and then my friend. I looked forward to seeing Joyce every morning (and being told off for being away after having a day off). Joyce had a cracking sense of humour and the cheekiest smile. She tried to be as independent as possible and had the greatest determination. My fond memories of Joyce are too many to simply place in one tribute- so to sum up my life has been enriched for knowing Joyce even for such a brief period of time as well as her lovely kind family- who are a tribute themselves to what a wonderful person Joyce was.
