KarenSERCOMBE(Kaz) Nick's lovely lady passed away 8th March 2008 aged 51 years, in the dedicated care of Modular Ward 3B, Walsall Manor Hospital. A Committal at Streetly Crematorium at 12.30pm on Wednesday 26th March 2008 will be followed by a Service of Thanksgiving at St John's Hospital Chapel, St John Street, Lichfield at 1.30pm in celebration of Kaz's life. Family flowers only please, donations to Walsall Manor Hospital, Ward 3B c/o Co-operative Funeral Services, Hatherton Street, Walsall WS1 1YB. Our last night together was long, but time so short, and in the morning, time stood still. We walked together to the very gates of heaven, and I assured you that walk would never find you alone. I told you I loved you and with every last ounce of strength in your body you replied, I love you too. Therefore, what riches have fallen to me, I am blessed beyond imagination, for I still have the love and memory of my life with Kaz to spur me on. She chose me to walk life's path with her, the trust in me implicit, her love unconditional. Our season in the sun never came, but I believe it is now rising on you Kaz, and it will never, ever set. God bless you and keep you and the Lord make his face to shine upon you. Always wait for me, and watch over me, loving you forever, Nick. Nick wishes to express his gratitude towards the many people who have given care and support in abundance to both Kaz and himself for many years, principally our family doctor and staff at Salters Meadow, Sister Alison Blacker and colleagues from District Nursing, Sue Deane, Karen's dedicated physiotherapist and all care workers particularly Donna. Thanks also to Lesley, Karen's volunteer driver and finally the staff at Lloyd's Pharmacy, Rugeley Road, Chase Terrace. Karen's husband and her close family wish to convey their heartfelt gratitude to all staff at Walsall Manor Hospital involved in her care during her final admission and in particular those attached to Modular Ward 3B whose dedication to the support of Kaz and kindness shown to those closest to her was very much appreciated.
