Norman John Shapcott was born on 19th of October in 1944. He was born in Devon, Crediton. His main job was a fitter in the steelworks. He attended Pembroke Dock Primary until 1952/53. His first (apprentice) job was at Howell's Garage. He went on to work within an aluminium factory. In his later years he started volunteering at CCV/BTCV (Cardiff Conversation Volunteers) after his children were born - where he made good friends who have good memories over his years of volunteering. Trephina Shapcott was born on 2nd November 1954. She was born in her old home address of 1 Langland Road in Rumney. Trephina had various jobs, but the main known ones she would talk about were retail work and being a dinner supervisor in her youngest daughter's primary school (Pen-y-Bryn-Primary). She attended Rumney Primary and then Rumney High School. Many of her friends were from high school who went on to have children the same age as her youngest daughter, Helen. Trephina did make many friends throughout her working life. Trephina also went on to have a child who was named Leigh who Norman took on as his own.
