I had the pleasure of meeting the Reverend back in 1999 at Kvaerner yard at Port Clarence. After a day or two of starting on the job he had found out another lad from Low Fell was travelling to Middlesbrough, he come and found me and had a good bit craic with me and arranged for us to start traveling together. A Proper old school spark, taking the lead helping lads like myself in our industry. He loved the wind ups with the Teesiders and anyone else that got on his radar. I went on to work with Tommy at Haden Youngs for a few years where he enjoyed the craic with the lads and winding up the Makems this time!
A great guy, who will be missed, one of life’s characters.
My thoughts and prayers are with Tommy’s family, RIP the Reverend X.
