Hard to believe it's been 4 years! Paul, I remember how grief-stricken you were & feeling completely helpless. Life has to go on though. My hope is yours is full of great memories, fewer sorrows and an abundance of love - you deserve it.

The second Christmas without your dad/granddad. As the years pass, it might feel as though fewer people remember your loss during the holidays and often the second year is even harder than the first. I will always remember and keep you and your family in my heart and prayers. Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy New Year.

With today marking the first anniversary of your dad’s passing, I’m thinking of you. No matter the age, no matter whether it was expected or sudden – losing a loved one creates a hole in your heart. It’s a reminder how short life is and no one knows when our last breath will be. So, if there’s something you want – go for it today because you might not have a tomorrow.

With this being your dad's first birthday since his death - I hope the good memories outweigh any sadness you feel. sb
