Still very much in my thoughts.
He was so kind and helpful to me as a 14 year old.
Rest in peace

I lived in the same street as Cecil. I remember well when he came home on a visit . He would play footie with us and we loved it.
He once organized a trial for me with Distillery be he thought that I was good enough but unfortunately I was too young and skinny to make any impression.
I will never ever forget him and I am 75 now.
Rest peacefully

While playing for Torquay Utd away against Barrow In Furness,Cec collided with the post and was taken to the local hospital with a suspected broken arm and shoulder. We waited in the coach for about 4/5 hours until the Hospital allowed Cec to leave.I sat with Cec on the long journey home and before long the jokes and banter began to flow.Cec was in so much more pain when he laughed but that never stopped him and he made the journey home much more enjoyable. It was always a great pleasure to meet Cec and i always left him feeling. happy and smiling.Iv met a lot of great blokes at the clubs i have played for and Cec is up there with the best of them.It was a pleasure knowing him and he will always be remembered by everyone who knew him.God bless you Cec.
