In Loving Memory of Paul

It is with shock and sadness that I and Steve Brayshaw learned today of the passing of our friend Paul.

We always cherish the memories of us knocking around Cadogan St, Gordon Street and The Boulevard in the late 70’ early 80’s, laughing and living in our crazy world.

Those were unforgettable days, filled with laughter, lots and lots of mischief, and friendship.

Our gang—Paul, Andy, Nicky, Steve, Steve, Lee, Martin, Alan, Carl, and Dean—had some great times together, moments that will always stay with us. Paul was a part of all of that, and those memories wouldn’t be the same without him.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to all of Paul’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. Please know all our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Rest in peace, Paul—you’ll always be remembered.

Absolutely gutted I worked with Paul for 15 years and became good mates, so sorry to all his family, he was a great lad.

Paul, Steeley, mate, brother,

Not sure exactly where to go with this, but here goes.
I still remember the first day I met you, we were both in our teens, you were sat in the cloakroom at Abbey Industries, and I walked in. You looked up, smiled that big warm smile of yours, and somehow in that moment, I knew we were going to get along.
What I didn’t know was just how close we would become over the next couple of decades. Along with the rest of ‘the lads’ we shared countless nights out, parties, travels, holidays, one or two pints, and a million laughs.
I’m going to miss you brother; even though it’s been a few years now, it never crossed my mind that we wouldn’t see each other again. It was great to be a close friend of yours, especially in our heydays, and my life was definitely better for having you in it. When I read the news of your passing, I felt a little piece of me die inside.
I’m genuinely gutted that I can’t be there for your service, but I’ll definitely be watching on, and raising a glass for you and the great times we shared.
I could write and write about the times we had, but I would never get it just right, or ever get it finished; so for now I’ll just say
Sleep peacefully my great friend, until we meet again.
