R.I.P. Dad . . .
Over 50 years ago when I was just 5 or 6 years old this wonderfully kind, loving, supportive and overly generous man my Dad (Trevor Sterling) stepped into my life and changed everything in our, (Mum, me & best friend Graeme) lives for the better.
Dad was a “fit as a fiddle” 82 year old here he is just a few months before he passed in an empty Newcastle out on his bike 🚴
He would still cycle 60-70 miles in a day, even after he was diagnosed as having cancer within a week or so of my own diagnosis this year.
Unlike my cancer his was supposed to be slow growing and managed with some tablets indefinitely, unfortunately it hasn’t work out that way, and he spent the last few weeks in hospital and the hospice.
I have so much to say about this wonderful man, how much I loved him and how grateful I am for him stepping up to fill the huge fatherly hole in my life with so much kindness and the endless support he provided throughout my whole life.
So much I want to say and tell everyone but it’s just too difficult to type much more.
R.I.P. Dad all my love and gratitude will never be enough for all you did.
