Gilbert DavidTHOMAS (Gil)Passed away peacefully on Friday 24th December 2021, aged 89 years. Gil of Cecil Street, Melyn, Neath. Much loved husband of Connie, dearly loved dad of Karen and Gareth and father-in-law of Carl and Wendy, adored gramps of Leanne, Lucy, Laura, Gemma and Ria, and great grampa of Jayden, Thea, Alara, Kaya, Mila, Morgan, Ava, Harrison and Seren. Gil will be greatly missed by all his loving family and friends. Funeral service at Margam Crematorium on Monday 24th January at 2:30pm. Due to current restrictions attendance within the crematorium will be by invitation only. Friends are invited to gather outside the crematorium where the service will be relayed over the speaker system. Alternatively, for those wishing to pay their respects, the funeral cortege will be leaving Gil's home on Cecil Street at 2pm,travelling through Melyn and Briton Ferry on route to Margam. No flowers by request, however donations in memory of Gil gratefully received for Wales Air Ambulance c/o Les Davies Independent Funeral Directors, Neath Funeral Home, Main Road, Cadoxton, Neath, SA10 8AP.
