Mr Thompson was a lovely kind man who helped me very much for many years. I was in terrible pain when I first went to see him and he helped me tremendously. I was a long standing regular patient of his for many years. I’m thankful to have known him. My condolences to his lovely wife and family on their loss.
Kind regards
Denice Miell

We will miss you Grandad. We loved your awful jokes at the dinner table and your generosity every time we’ve visited Bath especially to Skye, always feeding her cheese and biscuits.

Geoffrey Thompson helped me when I was completely crippled by back pain, and the hospital had tried everything but nothing worked. Thank you... I have never forgotten.

I’m sorry to learn of Geoff’s passing. It was quite a shock and made me regret that I should have made the extra effort to call on him at Catharine Place more regularly.
I have much to thank him for. Supporting my choice to study chiropractic in UK, he would welcome me at British Chiropractic Association conferences and dinners whilst I was a student, something that was not done in those days, introducing me to other stalwarts of the profession at that time.
On graduating in 1977 Geoff asked me to do a locum and other opportunities followed. This provided me with the perfect hands on experience of observing and running an established practice, giving me ideas on how this could be accomplished at Wingfield where I had a fledgling Chiropractic clinic. He was exceptionally generous and did not see me as a competitor. Instead, he actively encouraged his patients from the Trowbridge area to visit me in Wingfield.
During his Presidency of the British Chiropractic Association (1977 -79) he encouraged me to seek election to the board. I was admitted in 1978 and this set me on the way to further office and service to the profession over the next three decades.
Geoff will be sorely missed.
