AlbertWHITFIELD(Birtley) of Thirlmere died suddenly in hospital on 9th November aged 73 years, Albert. Beloved husband of the late Lyn, a much missed father of Hollie and Tim a dear father in law to Andy and Zoe, and much loved grandad to Jay, Ellie, Evie and Libby. Albert will be sadly missed by all of his family. Service to be held in Birtley Crematorium on Tuesday 24th November at 11.00am. Family flowers only please with donations in lieu kindly accepted by The Bobby Robson Foundation.

Not sure if anyone will read this as it’s been a while since Albert has passed. I knew Albert as a young 20 year old. He was a fantastic man who took me under his wing. He popped into my mind this evening and I was devastated to hear of his passing. He was always full of good craic and fantastic stories. But most of all was very proud of his wife and children. He will always hold a special place in my heart. David xxx

Sending you all our love. Albert was a lovely friend, always had a smile and time for a chat. Both Albert and Lyn were lovely and welcoming to Dean and I, caring and thoughtful. Albert and I would enjoy a giggle together in the Golf Club- he always had a crazy story to tell- we'll miss him.RIP Albie 💙 love Aly & Dean x
