Sue and I met in 1992 when I joined the Press and attended my first Sales meeting in Cambridge. We enjoyed the following 23 years together attending Sales meetings and TESOL meetings, and regular visits. She was one of the most caring, generous and funny people I ever met. She will live forever in my heart.

Dearest Sue-La-Rue

I remember when rock was young
Me n Suzie had so much fun ...

... it was lovely when you joined in with the La-la-la-la-la's when Wendy and I visited a few weeks ago.

Every time I cycle past your house, which is most days, I feel such a nostalgia for all the times we caught up in your cosy living room. You always wanted to know how my kids, Dexter our cocker spaniel and I were doing. You were always interested in the news and concerned and kind about the troubles, wanting to help in any way you could. I will miss your kindness and wicked sense of humour, your wonderful turn of phrase ("Well. Quite"), and the fun of gossiping together.

You have left this world a better place, dear Sue, and so many of us will remember you often, and be a little kinder, in your honour.

With huge love, SLR,

Heidi & Dexter
