Albert RoyWOODPassed away peacefully after a short illness at the Glenfield Hospital on Friday 6th May 2022 aged 89 years. Much loved father to Nick, Zoe, Petrina and Stephanie, brother to Norma, grandfather to his eight grandchildren, and great friend and inspiration to many. Roy was a student at Scarborough High School before studying Physics at Leeds University. He went onto teach Physics at Leeds Modern and Loughborough College School, before joining Loughborough Grammar School as Head of Physics. A post he held for 31 years retiring in 1994. Roy's funeral service will take place at Loughborough Crematorium on Wednesday 29th June 2022 at 2.00pm. Please join us afterwards at The Wheatsheaf Inn, Woodhouse Eaves for a celebration of Roy's life. Donations in loving memory of Roy will be gratefully received to LOROS via G E Gamble & Sons Website.
