AlanYOUNG(Coxlodge) Peacefully in the Freeman on 2nd January 2020, aged 80 years Alan, beloved brother of the late Barbara and sadly missed by all his family. Would family and friends please meet for funeral service at the West Road Crematorium on Wednesday 5th February at 10.15am. Family flowers only please donations if so desired to The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.

Alan was such a lovely friendly kind man who had time for everyone.
He was my sister’s Godfather but he always treat us the same and never left me out, sending cards on birthdays and Christmas. I spent many a happy time when we lived in the street with his parents, his sister Barbara and Alan himself. Even when we moved, they always stayed in touch.
Alan always had a good story to tell and he will be sorely missed.

So sad to hear that Alan has passed. I tried but was unable to get information from the hospital after I had visited over Christmas.
I hope to attend the funeral and say farewell.
