Faith's wonderfully funny and engaging series of books about her family's life in Devon are books that will be with me until I die. I re-read them every year or two and it's like settling down for a cosy chat with a great friend. Words can't really express how much I enjoy these books. This year I am visiting south Devon and will make a pilgrimage to Rattery and Dartmoor. I'd love to visit Upottery one day too.
Rest in peace with all of your animals, Faith and Brian. X

I've just enjoyed re-reading Faith's wonderful books. I had no idea until now that she had passed away, and just looking at the tributes, I was saddened to see that Brian had also died. I love Faith's humour, especially in the way she coped with all the children at Phyllishayes. My condolences to Sara and Marcus.

I remember Faith and Brian from their home at Huntspath, West Buckland. I was sadly at the wake of Graham Hackling yesterday whom i believe was a friend of them both. Faiths wonderful books always made me laugh.
